In 1970 the Southern soul music maverick Jerry Williams, Jr. Made the most radical move of his career. Frustrated with music business politics Williams reinvented himself as Swamp Dogg, an irreverent anti-hero smashing the conventions of commercial R&B music. He's been described as the "soul genius that time forgot," and "a strange combination of Sly Stone's progressive funk with Frank Zappa's lyrical absurdism." Alive Records presents a colored vinyl LP reissue of 1974's Have You Heard This Story? featuring Swamp Dogg's original liner notes plus new ones. Also includes an insert with lyrics and photos.
